A 2-year postdoctoral position is available in the “Biochemistry of Macromolecular Interactions” Unit at Institut Pasteur in Paris.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated postdoctoral research scientist with a strong experience in microbiology to gain insights into the remodeling of membrane and metabolism of Salmonella enterica serovar Typhimurium during dormancy.
Work on this project would include characterization of Salmonella mutants using proteomics and microbiological analyses to reveal key features driving the persistence and ability to wake up of quiescent cells. The successful candidate will also be responsible for presenting and publishing the study results.
Qualified applicant must have a Ph.D. in the biological sciences and strong background in molecular microbiology and physiology. Prior experience in flow cytometry is highly desirable. Experience in fluorescence microscopy/cell imaging will be positively evaluated.
