The Humanoid Sensing and Perception Laboratory at Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT) is seeking to appoint a post doc position on perception and machine learning for manipulation.
The selected candidate will join the interdisciplinary team of the iCub project. She/he will contribute to the implementation of perception and manipulation skills of humanoid robots.
We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic post-doctoral researcher who will join our team to study machine learning algorithms applied to the problem of visual perception and grasping of objects. The focus is on interacting with a complex and unstructured heap of partially unknown, irregular objects. The project will be carried out on the robots Panda (Franka Emika), iCub and R1 (IIT). The selected candidate will join the European CHIST-ERA project HEAP, and will have the opportunity to interact with the HEAP consortium and participate in technical meetings.
