The EPFL Computer Graphics and Geometry Laboratory (LGG) is looking for a Postdoctoral Researcher to strengthen our interdisciplinary team focusing on innovative methods for computational design and digital fabrication. Our research aims to understand fundamental principles of geometric computing and leverage these insights to develop new algorithms and tools for 3D shape analysis, simulation, design, and fabrication. Our research explores the interface of several scientific disciplines, such as mathematics, computer science, mechanical engineering, and architecture to facilitate innovative computational design solutions for advanced manufacturing and construction.
Applicants should have completed or be about to complete their Ph.D. studies. We expect a strong scientific background and proven track record in geometry processing, physics-based simulation, numerical optimization, computational design, digital fabrication, architectural design, or related areas. Experience with architectural design software such as Rhino and Grasshopper is helpful. We expect excellent communication skills in English and a good team spirit.
