Fondazione Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia – IIT is seeking a Post-doctoral candidate to join the Cancer Biology team, led by Dr. Stefano Campaner, within the Genomic Science Research Line, led by Dr. Francesco Nicassio.
The ideal candidate should be highly skilled in basic molecular biology techniques, cell culture and basic biochemistry. Previous experience in working with animal models, organoids or in Next Generation Sequencing techniques will be a plus.
The position is in the context of a project called “Functional and phenotypic characterization of novel TAZ regulators” funded by Airc (grant n. 21663).
The selected candidate will join the characterization of a number of novel YAP/TAZ regulators that we recently identified by a loss of function genetic screen (unpublished), with the aim of addressing their relevance in cancer stem cells regulation, chemoresistance and metastasis in Breast Cancer models. Emphasis will be placed in (i) understanding upstream regulatory mechanisms; (ii) the dissection of transcriptional and epigenetic networks (RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, single-cells RNA-seq), both in-vitro and in-vivo and (iii) use of CRISPR/CAS9 based genome editing for in-vitro and in-vivo genetic studies.
