One ARC-funded postdoctoral position is available in the lab “Inflammation and Cancer” (ImmunoConcEpT, The University of Bordeaux) to study the role of the innate immune system in cancer immunosurveillance and response to immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI).
Our lab investigates the role of innate immunity (cells, pathways and effectors) and its cross with the microbiome in tissue homeostasis and repair, chronic inflammatory diseases and cancer (Dupaul-Chicoine J et al. Immunity. 32, 367-378; Dupaul-Chicoine J et al. Immunity. 43, 751-763; Dagenais M et al. Oncoimmunology. 6, e1287247; Rodrigue-Gervais IG et al. Cell Host Microbe. 15, 23-35; Douglas et al. Cell Reports 2019 in press). The aim of this project is to identify novel mechanisms that innate immunity cells employ in cancer immunosurveillance and in the response of patients to immune checkpoint inhibitors.
The study will involve wide range of techniques including scRNAseq of tumors from patients undergoing ICI treatment, multi-parametric flow cytometry, confocal microscopy, genetic depletion in mouse models and biochemical validation approaches. This position is part of an ARC (Agence de Recherche sur le Cancer) project aiming at identifying new innate immunity and metabolic therapeutic targets in cancer immunotherapy.
Recent PhD graduates with a proven track record in immunology and demonstrated skills in FACS, confocal imaging or scRNAseq are especially encouraged to apply.
