The candidate will be working in the experiments division at the PUMA beamline, whose team currently includes one scientist and one assistant engineer. The candidate will have the following missions:
The candidate needs a PhD or equivalent title in physics or material science or in a neighbouring field.
The candidate needs excellent knowledge of X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy (XRF), X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS) or X-ray diffraction (XRD), ideally with synchrotron experience. He or she has to be able to work independently and will have to manage the experiments on the beamline. She or he needs basic knowledge of material science and strong interests in heritage science.
