The Center for Nano Science and Technology (CNST), an IIT Network Center based in Milano, is opening 1 Researcher position in the area of “Structured light with metasurfaces”, to lead a small team in the development of new paradigms in the generation of complex light beams and contribute in the research activities of the Research Line Vectorial Nano-imaging (PI: Dr. Antonio Ambrosio).
The research activities in which the scientist will be particularly involved are the design and development of structured light beams by implementing ad-hoc designed optical elements. The scientist will be also responsible for managing the operation of a design and nano-fabrication team working on the simulation and realization of nanostructured optical elements.
This position requires a PhD in Physics or related disciplines, at least three years of postdoctoral experience, and proven research activity in the development and characterization of light sources and the investigation of localization effects in solid-state light emitters, e.g. Anderson localizations.
Ability to work independently but also to be a productive and cooperative member of a diverse research team. Ability to manage multiple projects. Strong written and oral communication skills for the preparation of scientific proposals as well as scientific papers. Proficiency in English is essential.
