With the following requirements:

  • PhD in a natural or a life sciences discipline and a registered toxicologist (e.g., ERT);
  • 5-10 years of relevant scientific/technical work experience in interdisciplinary research and regulatory field;
  • Cross-functional knowledge in Operations, Quality Assurance, Research and Development, with an in-depth understanding of regional organization structure and business processes;
  • Complex problem solving and investigation skills;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Excellent project management, negotiation and influencing capabilities, coupled with proved leadership skills;
  • Strong reputation in engaging in proactive behavior and seiz ing oppo rtunities;
  • Fluency in English (both written and oral); French will be considered an asset.

If you possess the above mentioned profile then you are the one we want to meet for staffing the Senior Regulatory Compliance Scientist vacancy in our Scientific Projects & Planning team within the Product Stewardship & SSM Business Unit, based in Neuchâtel, Switzerland.

As a Senior Regulatory Compliance Scientist, you will independently lead cross-functional and cross-regional multidisciplinary scientific initiatives, addressing product safety requirements for conventional and reduced-risk products worldwide. You will also provide scientific and technical guidance to senior management.

Specific responsibilities:

  • Leverage on extensive subject matter expertise and business knowledge to translate regulatory and internal requirements into business processes and lead highly complex projects affecting company resources to ensure product safety;
  • Continuously monitor evolutions and innovations in toxicology and evaluate impact of changes on internal product safety standards and associated business processes;
  • Manage product safety assessment and toxicological approaches internally and contribute to external task forces related to product safety;
  • Lead the implementation of product safety projects across functions and regions;
  • Hold responsibility for the publication of scientific results in peer-reviewed scientific journals and provide technical and scientific guidance to senior management for regulatory submissions and engagements;
  • Actively contribute to the professional development of staff members to enable them to manage projects independently;
  • Carry out all activities, ensuring that PMI Compliance Policies, standards and laws relating to these are fully respected, integrated and understood by stakeholders and implements adequate processes to ensure the protection o f information of confidential nature.
