Postdoctoral Researcher in the field of Enzymatic Cellulose Engineering
A consortium of research groups at the Department of Bioproducts and Biosystems is looking for a postdoctoral researcher to work on bio-inspired materials science aiming at high added-value cellulosic materials. We are looking for self-motivated, open-minded, goal-oriented, hardworking researchers to work on a multi-disciplinary project related to the fields of protein engineering, enzymology and novel cellulose-based functional materials.
The focus of the project is on exploring and utilizing enzymatic means to convert cellulose into value-added products. We invite applications from motivated researchers with suitable background on biopolymer science, soft matter science, enzyme technology or bioprocess engineering. Ideally, a candidate is expert in one of the fields and has a good understanding of a second area.
The candidate must hold a Ph.D. degree in a relevant field. He/she should have a track record in conducting innovative scientific research and publishing in high-ranking scientific journals. The ability to work effectively and independently as well as good social skills are expected. The candidate is expected to contribute to teaching activities in the department.
